Care for your Dog Pet Advice

Keeping your dog fit and healthy is very important, so we have produced a fact sheet which will guide you through the routine treatments your dog needs for a healthy, environmentally friendly lifestyle.

If you have a new puppy take a look at our Puppy Regime Pet Advice.

General Care

If you require advice on the general care of your dog please do not hesitate to book an appointment with our Veterinary Surgeons 01642 760 999.

Flea Protection and Woming:

Nexgard Spectra. A chewy treat is given once a month for flea, ticks and roundworms.  Whilst we still stock and use Frontline Combo and Milbemax tablets for fleas and worming as they are still safe effective products, a single treatment with Nexgard Spectra is probably a more practical option.

Booster Vaccine:

It is important for the well being of your dog that an annually booster vaccination is given. Our vaccines protect your dog against Parvovirus, Distemper, Leptospirosis, Paraninfluenza, Adenovirus and Hepatitis. We will send you a reminder when your annual booster is due. An appointment is needed for your booster; the vet will give your dog a full health check along with the booster.

Identichip:

An Identichip WITH thermal technology is a great way to keep track of your dog. On 6th April 2016 it became law that every dog must have an identichip. Contact us
